The US President Donald Trump at the G-20 conference aimed to discuss his plan for a new nuclear deal with Iran. However his initiative did not meet with unanimous support.
The international community basically continues to insist that the 2015 nuclear agreement should remain unchanged. At the same time, US partners are not inclined to believe that Donald Trump can offer Iran something more significant and beneficial, in addition to what Tehran has already proposed.
Moreover, if the American pressure on the Ayatollah regime continues to increase, there is no doubt that Iran will refuse any proposals from the White House administration. In this regard, it is clear that the US-Iran negotiation process turned out to be almost impossible.
Given the circumstances, Tehran is unlikely to give up the chance presented to him to implement its own nuclear program. Moreover, the Ayatollah regime as a leading act of revenge may well begin to sell nuclear weapons to all interested international influence groups in order to create additional difficulties for Washington.
Donald Trump, perhaps anticipating that his Iran strategy would be unpopular, and as a result of which he would face great criticism in the international arena, he suddenly canceled a missile attack on Iranian targets. At the same time, he decided to use the traditional method of American pressure – economic sanctions. The purpose of this step is to force the Ayatollah regime to sit down at the negotiating table. But the mistake was that as the sanctions increased, Tehran was less and less inclined to dialogue.
Initially, Washington was not set to war. The White House administration intended to frighten Iran. However, Tehran was not afraid. Moreover, he accepted the challenge, unambiguously telling the international community: “If you want war, we are ready to fight, but there will be no negotiations”.
Now the entire international community, together with the United States, has not a clear plan on how to make the Ayatollah’s regime calm down.
Thus, the American pressure on Tehran seems that have turned against Washington. And now Donald Trump himself wants to start talking with the Ayatollah regime more than the Ayatollah regime wants to talk to him.
