In contrast to other geographical regions, the Western region has consistently exhibited a slower pace in the advancement of artificial intelligence. The reason for this is that it has consistently been at the forefront of scientific and technical progress. 

    Countries such as the United States have made significant contributions to the progress of artificial intelligence (AI) through the establishment of dedicated AI research and development (R&D) facilities situated in renowned technology hubs. Artificial intelligence (AI) has been utilized in various domains due to its numerous capabilities.

    Europe has emerged as a frontrunner in global deliberations concerning AI responsibility through its emphasis on the advancement of ethical AI frameworks. Countries located in the East Asia region, including Japan and China, have made significant advancements in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in terms of research, development, and practical implementation. 

    China’s substantial investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and the implementation of a comprehensive national AI policy have positioned it as a strong competitor. It is at the forefront in terms of the development and utilization of artificial intelligence. The high-tech industry in Japan is renowned globally for its exceptional products. 

    The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with robotics, industries, and everyday activities exemplifies a novel perspective on AI. The East-West AI competition has witnessed a limited number of technical breakthroughs. 

    In this context, it is evident that Western societies prioritize business, research, and innovative concepts, whereas Eastern societies prioritize sustainability, data utilization, and government-led initiatives. Numerous inquiries emerge during the course of this race: In the forthcoming era, which industry will artificial intelligence predominantly prioritize? Can the Western world achieve dominance as a result of its strong technological infrastructure and centers of innovation? On the contrary, the Eastern region’s strategic realignments, substantial financial outlays, and rapid economic growth have the potential to position it at the forefront. 

    The objective of this research paper  is to investigate the multifaceted aspects of AI competition, focusing on its implications for future economic leadership, global technological dominance, and the societal impact of AI. The primary objective of this study is to delve into the intricacies of the ongoing technological competition, with the intention of elucidating the numerous potentialities and their prospective influence on the progress of artificial intelligence in the next few years.

Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent, three prominent internet corporations in China, are at the forefront of advancing state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) systems. These systems are being developed for many applications including autonomous vehicles, speech recognition, and natural language processing. 

    Furthermore, they are in the process of developing an artificial intelligence ecosystem that encompasses a wide range of applications. Japan has historically been regarded as a leading nation in the realm of technological advancement and scientific exploration. Due to substantial investments made by the country, it has emerged as a leading force in the domains of human-centered AI, robotics, and artificial intelligence ethics. 

    The incorporation of AI technology into smart manufacturing, automation, and robotics by Japanese firms, such as SoftBank and Toyota, is a contributing factor to this phenomenon. The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in the commercial sector is occurring at a rapid pace. The South Korean government is actively promoting the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technology among businesses, aligning with the AI National Strategy and other relevant objectives.     Singapore has positioned itself as a leading participant in regional innovation through the allocation of financial resources towards the advancement of artificial intelligence research, facilitation of collaborative efforts among enterprises, government entities, and academic institutions, and cultivation of talent in this field. Singapore exemplifies the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) in several domains such as transportation, healthcare, and urban planning, hence showcasing its potential to augment the quality of human existence. 

    The issues of recruiting and keeping AI specialists, as well as supporting education and skill development in the field of AI, are prevalent across many East Asian countries. The advancement of AI technology gives rise to several concerns such as data privacy, algorithmic biases, and responsible AI usage. In order to effectively tackle these concerns, it is imperative to establish comprehensive moral and ethical frameworks. 

    The prominent nations in East Asia are engaging in collaborative efforts centered around projects driven by artificial intelligence (AI) with the aim of promoting innovation, scientific progress, and economic growth. This is the reason why artificial intelligence (AI) is experiencing increased popularity and acceptance within that particular country. Despite variations in rules across different countries, several aspects stay consistent. In the process of determining the establishment of AI ecosystems, financing research, addressing ethical considerations, and managing personnel, inquiries of this nature come to the forefront.
